Lighthouse Weddings

Having the honor and distinction of being designated a National Historic Landmark, the Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station is truly a unique and memorable place to hold a wedding ceremony.

Ceremonies of one-hour duration may be performed in a designated area in view of the Lighthouse during regular hours of operation. This location has been selected to provide the wedding party and their guests with the maximum amount of semi-privacy and seclusion possible. Without exception, the Lighthouse, exhibits and historic buildings will be open to the general public at the time of the ceremony. After the ceremony, photographs may be taken throughout the grounds with the understanding that the public may not be prevented from the use of any museum location, or asked to step aside in order for photographs to be taken.

 Event Costs:

The cost to have a 1-hour wedding ceremony at the Lighthouse is a required $500 donation, plus the regular admission costs of $6.95 per adult (ages 12 and up), and $1.95 per child (ages 11 and under). Infants (ages 0-2) are admitted free of charge with paying adult. All other costs related to the ceremony, such as clergy or justice of the peace services are not included.

Time Overage Fees:

The allotted time for a lighthouse wedding is one hour (excluding one hour of onsite preparation time). A penalty fee of $250 per half hour will be applied to the cost of events exceeding the allotted one hour time frame. Total time is calculated in accordance with each event’s schedule start time. Please adhere to scheduled arrival and departure times as outlined in your event reservation to avoid these additional fees. A mandatory $250 refundable deposit is required prior to confirmation of your event reservation.

 Lighthouse Keeper Officiate:

Couples wishing to be married by an ordained Lighthouse Keeper in uniform may do so for an additional fee of $50. Please notify Lighthouse staff of your desire to secure the services of a Lighthouse Keeper to officiate your ceremony when submitting your reservation request.

 Normal Hours of Operation:

Day after Labor Day to Day Prior to Memorial Day: Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last admission at 5 p.m.)

Memorial Day through Labor Day: Open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (last admission at 8 p.m.)

The maximum number of wedding guests may not exceed 50. Excluded from the number of guests are the wedding party and the ceremony officiate. Guest admission tickets must be purchased in advance.
